Whilst my mother was unable to hear what I was saying over the phone as my throat had swelled up so much, I was unable to communicate more than a couple of words at a time.
It was mid way through a stunning run on the UK’s South Downs Way (a famous and frankly beautiful trail used by walkers, runners, cyclists).
But that’s a subject for another day.
